Stages, 2012
I was raised backstage. My parents were musicians, my grandparents supper club performers. I had two childhood houses: my family's personal life and the performative. I found a childhood among both.
This series comments on the circus brat lifestyle: the tight-knit sense of family, the distrust of outsiders, the fleeting sense of home, and the outpouring feeling of performing to a living audience night after day after night.
